The Bluff Workshop
Introducing “The Bluff Workshop”
To our dear friends around Bluff town, DesignBuildUTAH@Bluff, the Bluff Arts Festival, and Cow Canyon Coffee:
We are thrilled to share an exciting new chapter in our journey! We are currently in the process of establishing a new non-profit organization (501(c)(3) status pending) called The Bluff Workshop, based right here at the DesignBuildBluff campus.
Our Mission
While architecture remains our foundation, our vision is expanding. The Bluff Workshop is being created as a hub for hands-on learning across a wide range of creative disciplines. We aim to build a space where creative, positive energy flows freely, bringing new inspiration to our community.
Meet the Team
This project is a labor of love brought to you by a core team of familiar faces:

February 14th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the silk-screen printing process. All necessary supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any specific fabric or paper items you would like to print on. You will be able to take home all the items you hand-print during the session.
Papermaking Workshop
March 6–8 (Friday–Sunday), Three half-day sessions

In this workshop led by local artist Kate Aitchison, participants will explore the use of local materials to create unique art objects through the traditional craft of papermaking. The course focuses on sustainable practices by processing invasive plant species into handmade paper. Students will be guided through every stage of the transformation, from raw fiber to the finished sheet.

Our activities
Recap Kickoff Event: A Heartwarming Start with Mochi Pounding

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to introduce our vision than our recent Community Mochi Pounding & Potluck.
Under a crisp, clear winter sky, the rhythmic sound of pounding steaming rice echoed through the air. Although the temperature was chilly, the atmosphere was incredibly warm. Watching everyone enjoy fresh mochi together reminded us that nothing connects a community quite like sharing a delicious meal.
During the event, we were proud to announce the launch of The Bluff Workshop. Our resolution for this year is to create a dedicated space where we can work with our hands and grow this organization alongside all of you.
A Final Note
Help Launch The Bluff Workshop
We are accepting donations to support our program. Your early support helps us build the foundation for this community resource.
We are currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit status from the IRS. Please note that donations made before our 501(c)(3) approval may not be tax-deductible. We will update this page once our nonprofit status is officially confirmed.
With gratitude,
The Bluff Workshop Team
